Newry Community radio is a local station, broadcasting from the white gates centre in Rooney’s Meadow, Newry. Broadcasting for the residents of Newry, ex-pats and anyone else who’ll listen via the internet, we are a community station, run by volunteers in our community for the community. All of our presenters are voluntarily giving their own time, in the evenings, on weekends and even during their lunch hour, to bring you the music you love. AnnAnn O'Brien, goes out Wednesday Thursday and Friday afternoons from 2 pm until 4 pm with the American Country and Easy Listening Show and she joins husband Brendan on a Sunday morning from 11 am to 1 pm for the Sunday Magazine.
BrannersSean Brannigan our longest serving presenter covers a variety of slots with his Night Flight programme from 8 pm to 11pm on Monday night, the My Kind Of Music programme on Wednesday and Thursday 12 Noon to 2 pm and the Nostalgic Showband Show on a Friday 12 Noon to 2 pm.
RondoMonday's and Tuesday's from 2 pm – 4 pm is Rondo with "My Generation" a mix of music from the 60's 70's and 80's that influenced his youth while growing up in Newry.
BOBBrendan O'Brien presents "All Things Rock" from 9 pm to 11 pm Tuesday and Thursday, the Folk and Traditional Show on a Sunday evening 5 pm to 6 pm and co-presents the Sunday Magazine on a Sunday morning from 11 am to 1 pm.
TomTom Quinn brings 3 hours of the very best Traditional Songs and Music from around the world each Wednesday from 6 pm to 9 pm with his programme The Living Tradition
GeraldineOn a Thursday Geraldine Gaul keeps you company between 4 pm and 6 pm while you are all “Homeward Bound” and she returns on a Sunday from 1pm to 3 pm when she plays songs from the shows.
philip Phillip Hughes serves up the Big Old Country Breakfast from 10am till noon.
